Art Movements in Fiber is a juried exhibit of artwork by 43 members of the Northern California/Northern Nevada region of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA), now on display at Pacific Grove Art Center (Dyke Gallery). SAQA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote and increase appreciation for the art quilt as a fine art medium. One of the artists is Claire Frances Sherman, whose work, “My Cubist Friend,” can be seen above. After growing over the past 35 years, SAQA has over 4,000 members worldwide and sponsors global juried exhibits that travel all over the world. The gallery is located at 568 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove; hours are noon-5pm Wednesday through Saturday, and 1-4pm on Sundays. The exhibit is showing through Thursday, Dec. 11.
