Byron Z. Tripp is showing his exhibit, Beyond What You See, in the Pacific Grove Art Center (568 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove) including “Swan Lake,” shown above. “My work fully expresses my poetic feeling at that moment,” Tripp wrote in an artist statement. “Expressing my philosophy of understanding the universe, nature, humanity. Creating my work is always subconscious. When brush jumping on canvas, mind exploding, blood pumping, feel like falling into unknown dimensions of the universe. I never set any boundaries of tools, material, skill or style. As long as it can keep my feelings flying.” On display until Dec. 12.
