- Youth Arts Collective is doing their sixth annual LiveArt event in which 30-plus artists (like Will Bullis, Robin Winfield, Christine Crozier, Pamela Carroll, Kevin Miller, Andrew Jackson, Ray Magsalay, etc.) create work side-by-side that goes up for sale that night; there’s a sketch circle of 15-plus artists doing five-minute portraits; and seven-plus singer/songwriters set it all to live music. - Sculptor Nancy Larkin sculpted figures and totems in the 1980s from raku, bronze and steel at Stanford’s Product Realization Lab. She still has the work sequestered in her New Monterey home. - Monterey Jazz Festival package tickets go on sale May 1. Headliners of the September fest include Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Angelique Kidjo, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Joe Lovano, Branford Marsalis, Joshua Redman, Leslie Odom Jr., and hip-hop veteran and conscious rapper Common. - The 16th annual West End Celebration is accepting applications for artists and vendors now through July 24 for the late August festival with the theme “Love MoCo Art.” Which sounds like “Love MoFo Art.” But is not quite the same thing. westendcelebration.com.
