After sunny and fertile Carmel Valley finally got its first farmers market this spring, that satisfied a long-overdue hunger and brought the county's total markets to 15.

More importantly, local farm-fresh-type folks now have every single day of the week covered—and at least two going five days a week—with Friday working as a highlight thanks to both the valley's and MPC's standout.
