A study from the Wharton School plotted quality of life on a graph and used number of hardware stores as an index. Turns out livability and neighborhood hardware stores are directly and affirmatively linked. Is it any wonder the DIY crowd in Pacific Grove thinks so highly of their burg? There are two Ace Hardware stores on Forest in America’s Last Hometown within one mile of each other. They’re the best. P.G. Hardware is situated in a beautiful Victorian in downtown Pacific Grove and Forest Hill Ace is in the strip center at the top of the hill on 68 at David Avenue. Both stores offer paint matching systems, rodent traps, compact flourscent bulbs and plumbing parts, both have ridiculously friendly and knowledgeable staffs, and both are known by the readers as “P.G. Ace,” hence the tie. Now get to that project.
