Ranked by Zagat Survey as one of the top 50 golf courses in the U.S. – a distinction recently echoed by Golf Magazine as the course made their “Nation’s Top 50 Golf Courses Under $50” list – the links of P.G. are often called “the poor man’s Pebble Beach.” They could be called the smart guy’s. Originally created as a nine-hole forest course in 1932, the modest layout evolved (thanks to Pebble Beach designer Jack Neville) to become the challenging 18-hole gem straddling Point Pinos that we know today.
