In 1869, John Wesley Powell led a wild and wooly expedition down the Colorado River and its canyons. No one on the adventure would have thought to climb them for fun. Yet climbing is fun, and children have the opportunity to test their skills on the wall at Esselen-Ohlone Park in Sand City. Yes, it also has other structures, and picnic tables for the lazy.
