Fun fact: Dr. Douglas Sunde and John Steinbeck both attended Stanford University. But the comparisons to their educational histories stop there. While Steinbeck did not finish, Dr. Sunde continued to become a board‑certified plastic surgeon and once again nabs the title of Best Plastic Surgeon in Monterey County. Sunde also wrote the book on eyelid surgeries, and developed the Sunde Blepharoplasty Grid – a steel surgical instrument used as a guide to help surgeons measure their progress and symmetry while working on that kinda important part of the body.
