Ah, to retire among the trees. For Canterbury Woods residents, that dream is a reality, set among six wooded acres just a few blocks from downtown Pacific Grove. The facility aims to keep its 140 residents both tranquil and engaged, with outdoor and cultural activities to choose from, including classes at Monterey Peninsula College, coastal hiking and tee times at Pebble Beach. Director of Administrative Services Geoven Snaer says he’s grateful to the local community for making Canterbury Woods truly part of a community: “Our neighbors have been very understanding – they’ve been very kind and helpful, and we so appreciate that.”
