“Twenty-five years serving our community,” pastry chefs and owners Anne Parker and Yann Lusseau wrote on their Instagram page in a moment of quarter-century reflection. “Would do it all over again in a flash.” So would the locals who keep coming back for a French bakery experience. Believe it or not, the world doesn’t end with croissants and pain au chocolat… at Parker-Lusseau you can try pastries like Kouign-amann (think crunchy, sweet croissant) or arguably the prettiest of French cakes – Frasier with strawberries and crème pâtissière. Seasonal quiches, challah and macaroons aside, one can also learn that a proper brioche is more than a roll and it can be filled, as it should, with rich custard.
