It’s almost a cliché that politicians show up at events like the Iowa State Fair in attempts to appear like common folk. It would be great to see Bernie dive into a frozen cheesecake on a stick or Biden snarfing down a corn dog at the Monterey County Fair. Not sure if any vendor has mastered Taco Bell on a stick for Trump. But with Monterey County Fair’s 2020 theme of “Fiesta,” we dare any candidate to try the jalapeños on a stick that local fair staff are promising will be a feature at the fare.
