They don’t serve appetizers at Bistro Moulin. They call them hors d’oeuvres. And it’s not French onion soup – not even just onion soup, for that matter. You order gratinée à l’oignon. That’s how dedicated Chef Didier Dutertre is to Old World culinary tradition. The filet mignon is flamed in Cognac, the duck is confited, the chicken is free-range and the escargot is dripping in butter. Freedom fries? Nope they do pommes frites. This is bistro fare at its finest.
