Car Week Auctions
The annual Concours d’Elegance is a bucket list event, certainly. And if you have $400 for a general admission ticket (or $2,750 to hang at the winner’s circle patio), by all means, go. But Mecum Auction parks more than 600 collector cars on the golf course behind Monterey’s Hyatt Regency, and you can view them for a mere $30 – and catch a little auction block action. In fact, Car Week gives you six options. There’s the mosh pit action of Russo and Steele in Monterey. Worldwide Auctioneers in Pacific Grove sold the oldest electric car in 2019. RM Sotheby’s inside the Monterey Conference Center sold the most expensive car ever auctioned one year. You can go upscale at Bonham’s at Quail Lodge or Gooding & Company at Pebble Beach, too.
