Everyone knows that On the Beach Surf Shop has a wide selection of surfboards, skateboards and snowboards, along with all of the associated gear and clothing. But the business, which has been around over 30 years, also has one of the world’s largest private surfboard museums. All of the surfboards are from the collection of Pete and Cathy Noble, who live in Monterey, and are on display in the shop. “We take care of our customers and treat them as family,” says surfer and shop owner Kelly Sorensen. “It’s a community store.”
