It took a Spock to provide the reason, in a dream, to communicate, to a Weekly writer, what was so logical all along: The jovial transplant from Michelin-starred spots across the globe was named Cal for a reason: CALifornia, and more specifically, CAL-mel Valley, the place where Chef Stamenov would meet his destiny, like Luke Skywalker, only armed with a saucepan and The Force for foragers, instead of a light saber and awkward acting.
