It was cool enough that the accomplished restaurant/event space/art installation built an owl box on a tall pole to provide sanctuary for silent raptors who do greener and cleaner rodent management than does rat poison. And that two lovebirds took to the new roost quickly. And that a video feed streams the (often amorous) Haute box action to the restaurant below. Then the owlets hatched, fed, grew, with names like Chicle, Churro and Chimichanga, and went on to fly the coop and swoop about the community that loves them, on their own. That’s cooler than the night winds these predators ride on.
