Aside from being in the center of a rich photographic history of the classics – Ansel (Adams, natch), the Westons (Edward, Kim, et. al.) and more – Carmel’s Center for Photographic Art gives a lot back to the community in the form of education with workshops, community juried shows and talks by professional photographers. CPA features a traditional photo gallery of rotating exhibits, most of which are of this world, yet totally out of it.
