They might be the hardest-working theater company on the Peninsula. They keep their two stages, The Golden Bough and Circle Theatre (and the Forest Theater in the summer), busy with plays, kids’ and adult classes, concerts and film screenings. 2018 is their 35th season and they will have racked up their 480th production by the end of it. In the meantime, they’ve programmed a range of popular and critical theater works including The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (June 21-July 8), tied for second for the most Olivier Awards won. Last year’s production of the ABBA-derived musical Mamma Mia! was their highest-grossing Golden Bough musical and audiences have named it the best production of 2017. If you didn’t get to see it then, no worries. PacRep is bringing it back this year (Nov. 15-Dec. 23) in time for the holidays. Re-gifting is a-okay here.
