While other clubs may have live bands only on the weekends, Sly McFly’s, like the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine, is always vibing with musical energy, seven nights a week. There are regular gigs Mondays through Thursdays from much-loved rock ‘n’ roll cover bands like The Sand Dabs and Retreuxspect, as well as deep-digging blues bands like Lorelei and Ever’thang. And that’s just the weekdays. Also making regular cameos are local favorites The Money Band and The Dennis Dove Band. By putting music first, the dancing comes naturally. It’s a formula that’s been working here for 40-plus years.
