This organization offers volunteer opportunities in 12 separate categories, and its 70 staffers are supported by some 300 volunteers. It’s no wonder that people (and pets) are over the moon for this forward-looking institution that’s been at the forefront for animal care for decades, servicing not only dogs and cats, but disenfranchised horses, wounded birds, needy bunnies and even wildlife, 365 days a year.
