Pinot Noir

In the California wine world, Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County evokes two words: Pinot Noir. In the 1980s, legendary winemaker Gary Pisoni helped secure SLH as a leader for California Pinot and put the Salinas Valley on the map. The red varietal has velvety cherry, raspberry and strawberry notes, and the interesting climate of the cool Monterey Peninsula fog combined with the warm air of the Salinas Valley produce a long growing season of gentle and ripe grapes.
