Her students say that talking about Gina Puccinelli would require volumes of superlatives, so it’s no surprise they banded together to vote her the county’s best yoga instructor. Through her Beyond Yoga retreats - in Monterey and Santa Cruz County and beyond - Puccinelli seeks to offer a healing space for renewal, rejuvenation and empowerment. As she puts it, promoting nourishment of the mind, body and spirit is her life’s work. A certified yoga teacher since 2001 and a medical exercise specialist since 2011, Puccinelli does in-home movement therapy, leads retreats and also teaches at the Carmel Valley Athletic Club, Carmel Yoga Studio and Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.
