This venue for items salvaged from the landfill takes recycling to the next level, not only reducing waste by offering services like the buy-back center where plastic bottles and soda cans are sold for cash, but also encouraging reuse by selling reclaimed items from baby cribs and clothing to bicycles and bathtubs. What began in 1991 as a monthly auction for rescued items is now reliable resource for families, teachers and collectors of trashed treasures - for cheap. The growing array of services now also includes home compost supplies and a household hazardous waste program. Drop off the stuff you don’t want, and go home with stuff you do.
