The pet-friendly parklet out front is perfectly positioned for people-watching while dining. Or sit inside (no pets allowed, however) and look up at the pillowy sculptural fixtures on the ceiling that might make it feel like you’re in a dream. No, this creative menu of rotating small bites and entrees, prominently featuring eco-conscious, seasonable ingredients at reasonable prices, is for real. Also real: lots of dishes with Chef Tony Baker’s famous thick-cut “Baker’s Bacon,” a creative cocktail menu, and super-friendly service. It’s so familiar here you might be tempted to invite your server to join your table, but they’re working; instead, buy a six-pack for $6 for the kitchen to enjoy post-shift, and they’ll ring a bell of thanks.
