Luigi’s is a gift from the gods with a built-in reputation right here in these pages. (Its cousin is Salinas’ best restaurant, Gino’s.) The family of restaurants is locally owned and has perfected the art of Italian food for generations. Luigi’s is no exception. The real topper: The wine list. It’s packed with local options from neighboring vineyards. It doesn’t hurt that all those beautiful bottles are stored in an actual vault in the dining room. Amen.
