You’ve heard about the intimidating fail rate among restaurants. So when a spot has been around since 1985, like this one, you don’t need a vote to tell you that they’re doing something right. But for redundancy’s sake, owner Jefferson Seay channels his multitudes of customers, who say that they love Fishwife for the excellent calamari, snapper, tilapia and fresh pasta dishes (and a shout-out to the sea-garden salad with Cajun salmon); for the casual vibe and outdoor dining; for the personable and attentive staff, many of whom have been there around a dozen years, including manager Rosa; for its convenient location and adherence to the Aquarium’s Seafood Watch list. Any Seasider worth their sea salt appreciates this place for sticking around.
