In a world of uncertainty, you can be sure that every season when Sunset Center releases its new schedule, it will feature a sundry of world-class entertainment. Just a sample of some of the recent talent to occupy the stage: The last of the original Chicago electric blues legends Buddy Guy had the full house under the spell of his guitar for over 90 minutes, and fellow Chicagoan Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Mavis Staples treated her sell-out audience to an empowering afternoon of traditional gospel-inspired blues and stories about enlightenment. Staples said the Carmel venue seemed to bring out the best in her. Guess that’s why so many of the big names, including Graham Nash, Béla Fleck and Chris Isaak, keep coming back.
