The Carmel Art Association has been providing the Monterey Peninsula with a wide array of local and contemporary art since 1927, making it the oldest art gallery in Carmel. Just this year the CAA celebrated its 90th anniversary with a historical art exhibition comprising over 200 works created by 50 local CAA artist members. The nonprofit organization gets its support from its members, donations and the public. The space comprises five galleries with exhibits that change every month, allowing for a diverse array of contemporary art in mediums ranging from paintings to sculptures to prints. It allows one of the oldest art cooperatives in the nation to feel like a new gallery every time you visit.
