Kindergarten teacher Dan Rhoads went to school for art before becoming a teacher, and he likes to emphasize art in the classroom. Rhoads has been with the the International School of Monterey since 2010 teaching kids to read, share and, perhaps most importantly, ask questions. The best part about the age group, he says, is teaching foundational skills for future full-size humans. Although the classroom isn’t outfitted with a kitten or puppy, they do like to explore around for insects outside.
