Garland Ranch Regional Park

700 W. Carmel Valley Road, Carmel Valley | (831) 372-3196, mprpd.org/garland-ranch-regional-park

The most challenging and rewarding of the trails at Garland Ranch Regional Park, Snively’s Ridge, pays off by taking you to the highest point in the park with 360-degree views of the Monterey Peninsula. The park also offers flatter trails for wee hikers. Sights of the Carmel Valley and wildflowers abound. Dogs are welcome, as are horses on specific trails. Be advised, kittens may struggle with the altitude, but you might find evidence some bigger cats have been out and about in this landscape.
