We can’t think of any local and regional fine art photographers of note who have not shown at, been a member of, lectured at, or in other ways been involved with this storied institution. It exists to “advance the Central Coast’s distinctive photographic art forms through education, exhibition and publication.” And they do it with style and class in events like PIE Tech which helps photographers best use new tools of the trade, movie nights where they show films like the Academy Award-nominated Finding Vivian Maier, exhibitions like the 2015 International Juried Exhibition and lectures by people like Richard Murai talking about photographing spiritual practices around the world.
