Hearty sandwiches, homemade soups and finger-licking-good pies are the norm here at this family restaurant which excels in comfort food. However, their unusually large cakes have been stealing the show for nearly two decades with countless awards. If you are a lemming, order the six-layer German chocolate cake. If that’s too choco loco and you want to travel the path less traveled, then hit up the three-layer seasonal white cake made with local strawberries. Now for the kicker, Rosine’s recently started serving up a two-layer carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting. Doesn’t sound remarkable until you find out that it has no gluten. Not an easy task and much appreciated by many.
