Just shy of 25 years in business and almost $5 million distributed in grants and scholarships, this thrift store takes pride in serving Monterey County. They have their “regulars” that visit the store daily or even every morning and afternoon. Supplied by steady donations they keep the inventory fresh, well-displayed and organized for easy perusal. Over 90 volunteers help make this happen, each bringing unique interests and qualifications, like the specialist in antiques who evaluates, researches and prices items. Check out the half price book sale Monday and Wednesday from 4pm-6pm, which one volunteer describes as “quite the little event.”
