We’re not sure who Michael’s mama is, but she must know a few things about a proper meal, because customers don’t get served anything that doesn’t meet her standards. Or at least that’s what Michael’s slogan – “If it ain’t good enough for Mama, it ain’t good enough for you” – says, and we’re inclined to believe it: Chicken breast, steaks and jumbo prawns are blackened to order, and rice, beans, chips, sauces and salsas are all made fresh every day. It’s that attention to detail – a focus on fresh ingredients and flavors – that make Michael’s a Peninsula favorite year after year.
