To dine outdoors in fresh and open air is divine. To spend a day in Big Sur can be transformative. Might heaven be located, then, at Nepenthe Restaurant? An international and local crowd would say with conviction they’ve been sent to the clouds with a view of Big Sur’s south coast from the umbrella covered back deck while holding the famous Ambrosia Burger in one hand and a mind-numbing South Coast Margarita in the other. While Nepenthe’s main restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner, down below, the outdoor only Café Kevah is open from 9am (weather permitting) with a full coffee and brunch menu. And their Incredible Sticky Bun is so good they posted the recipe to the Nepenthe website.
