Tunnel under Highway 1 at west end of Divarty Street, Marina
The approximately 100-foot-long pedestrian tunnel that links CSUMB to Ford Ord Dunes State Park has its walls covered with a potpourri of graffiti art, illegible scrawls, self empowerment slogans and detailed street art paintings. You might see well-done renderings of a cartoonish whale with a horn or a giant wasp or a less impressive batch of primitive drawings of male genitalia. Or you may be inspired to live life differently after reading that you should “Make your own luck” or “Don’t die without standing for something.” Just don’t expect for anything to stay up on the walls for longer than a few weeks.
