The eyes start on the vineyards and then jump west to the Salinas Valley, the Gabilan range, the distant Pinnacles. The view from the patio of Hahn’s tasting room is tops in the valley, especially when accompanied by one of Hahn’s wines, which – year after year – are among the best to be found in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Add to that an option not often seen in wine country: A private ATV tour, where one can zip around the upper reaches of the estate for an even better view, one that stretches from King City to Salinas. The tour concludes with a visit to the wine cellar and a reserve tasting in Hahn’s VIP room, where aside from feeling very important, one is sure to feel fortunate.
