You don’t have to adopt a pet to support or benefit from the Monterey SPCA. Every dollar donated stays in the county, providing pet services above and beyond the kennel. Before animals are ready to be adopted, the young or injured are personally treated by a team of Foster Friends volunteers. Companion animals are chaperoned to convalescent and hospice centers by more trained volunteers, who deliver cheer with the Hug-A-Pet program, and SPCA volunteers pack and deliver pet dinners with Meals on Wheels. Bringing kindness to both animals and the people who love them – that’s what it’s all about.
