Monterey artist William Wyman gives the world a first look at his painting, photography and sculpting over the last 45 years. He decided to do it only now, as a 75 year old. You can see a six-minute documentary, Art of Art, that shows a lot of his works, on YouTube at bit.ly/WilliamWyman. Wyman captures landscapes with moving clouds, sunsets, blue skies and meadows full of flowers; he also photographs the streets of San Francisco. In three dimensions, Wyman’s sculptures are made of local redwood. He also has been painting, mostly colorful abstract pieces, since he was in his 30s, without ever taking a class. “My main drive at the beginning was telling myself stories,” he says. “I came to art after a crisis in my life. Everybody has art inside.”
