Once again, Best Sports Bar goes to Knuckles. No wonder. Year after year it delivers a well-rounded selection of draft suds (20 on tap), crispy spuds (the French are jealous), badass burgers (Strauss grass-fed beef) and a bounty of other bar food classics (plump wings) while projecting various sports on its 24 HD-screens amid a no-bad-seat-in-the-house floorplan. Its only rival for raw sports excitement is actually being at the sporting event. Other local sports bars are holding their own for grub-gobbling, grog-guzzling game gawkers, but with its extensive upgrades in recent years, Knuckles has taken it to another league. Katie Houdek, the hotel’s assistant director of operations, says, “The secret is our staff. Our three bartenders have over 75 years here collectively.” One bartender, who goes by T, says, “We have regulars that have been coming in here since I showed up 12 years ago.”
