It’s debatable which delivers more energy: Soledad’s newly-built wind turbine, which produces 3.5 million kilowatt-hours of energy per year, or Soledad’s Windmill Restaurant, which has been delighting taste buds, filling bellies and powering people since 2003. Open breakfast, lunch and dinner, options abound in Windmill’s weighty menu, but favorites are the flame-broiled burgers, juicy steaks and zesty sandwiches. Soledad may have re-branded itself as the “Gateway to the Pinnacles,” but it’s happening at the Windmill, South County’s gateway to Flavor Town.
