The San Francisco architecture firm that designed CSU Monterey Bay’s stunning Tanimura & Antle Family Memorial Library also worked on another little project in Monterey County: The Monterey Bay Aquarium. With vision like that, no wonder the library – with its LEED Silver rating signifying supreme environmental efficiency, and its abundance of resources, from classrooms to a cafe – retains its title as the county’s best contemporary/modern building. Library Director Bill Robnett calls it “the campus living room” that you’ll never want to leave.
