 Perfectly Pressed Juice Bar ‘n’ Eatery (998-8770) has debuted in Salinas. The mint-apple-collard green juices and chia-coconut frescas are going gangbusters. More on the blog.

The place then does small bites and full bar 5pm-midnight daily before the official launch with full lunch and dinner Nov. 3. Also, 7-11pm Saturday, Oct. 19, a “Bowties and Bluegrass” showcase by Maddox Haberdasher featuring Lily ZöblerDylan Aiello and Casey Frazier marks a stylish event. • The former Breakers Cafe on Forest Hill in P.G. became Breakers Noodle & Sushi and now… it’s bye bye.

• Cima Collina Winery (620-0645) hosts Howlin’ Good Pet Fest ($50) 1-5pm Saturday, Oct. 12, with a pet costume contest, wine tasting, hor d’oeuvres plus favors (a goodie bag for Fido and a bottle for his human) to benefit SPCA.

• Quail & Olive (659-4288) celebrates a year of California olive oils, prime vinegars and tastings with Dino Vera music, food pairings, wine sippies and oil tastings noon-5pm Saturday, Oct. 12.

• Bernardus (658-3550) does its 11th annual Bernardus Wine Dinner ($125) Oct 17. It’s a good ‘un if you can swing it.

• Carmel River Festival and Feast ($30, 238-1683) happens at the Trail and Saddle Club 11am-3pm Sunday, Oct. 13. See p. 30.
