(Editor’s note: According to the settlement struck by the California Coastal Commission and Facebook billionaire Sean Parker, $1 million of the $2.5-million fine Parker is paying will go to the Coastal Conservancy Fund’s violation remediation fund, or directed to a coastal access/recreation/conservation project in Monterey County. The other $1.5 million will go to a conservation or public-access project to be implemented by a nonprofit or public agency.)
