Drivers heading home were detoured after people in two cars shot multiple times at each other on Fremont Boulevard just before 5:30pm on Tuesday.
Multiple people called police after shots were heard in the 1300 block of Fremont Boulevard between Trinity and Hamilton avenues. Seaside police officers arrived on scene and found at least two shell casings in the northbound lane and shut down traffic, having cars turn right from Fremont onto Trinity.
Not too many details are known about the shooters, but as of 6pm, police were looking for a red car and a silver or gray sedan.
No injuries have been reported.
