Rock legend and a founding member of the Beach Boys, Al Jardine resides on the Big Sur coast. The vocalist-guitarist sang lead on the Beach Boys’ classic “Help Me, Rhonda.” Though he left the group in 1998, Jardine got back together with Beach Boys mastermind Brian Wilson for a short tour in 2006 that celebrated the 40th anniversary of the band’s iconic Pet Sounds . The Beach Boys also reunited for a tour in 2012 behind That's Why God Made the Radio, their first new studio album of original material since 1992.
Jardine owns Red Barn Studios, where artists including Roy Hargrove and Ramblin’ Jack Elliott have recorded and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have rehearsed.
