The Pacific Grove Art Center (568 Lighthouse Ave., P.G.) presents Marybeth Rinehart and her exhibit Time, Paper, Scissors. “My collages are mindscapes, reflecting a psycho/spiritual – and sometimes humorous – orientation towards life,” Rinehart wrote about her work. Themes of love and time dominate. As one source of inspiration, novelist Virginia Woolf, wrote: “Arrange whatever pieces come your way.” Established in 1969, the nonprofit PGAC hosted Rinehart’s first solo exhibit 30 years ago. Rinehart draws from different cultures, languages, architecture and more. The local artist, born in Oakland in 1949, creates collages, as pictured above.
