Alvarado Street Brewery earned Brewery of the Year (in the 15,000+ barrels category) and two gold medals at the U.S. Open Beer Championship in Ohio, as well as other awards. The golds were for Experimental IPA, won by Alvarado’s Double Dank Shake, and Single Hop IPA. No surprise, the latter medal went to the brewery’s much-lauded Mai Tai PA.
