Two of the bartenders who helped spur modern mixology in Monterey County are saying farewell, at least for a while. After decades of crafting memorable cocktails Anthony and Tuyet Vitacca plan to take a break from the area to spend some time in Maui. Anthony has tended bar at several destination bars and dining spots, most recently at Estéban Restaurant in Monterey. Tuyet has been a fixture at Jacks Monterey. The couple plan to be in Hawaii by mid-October.
