Downtown Monterey was a road cyclists dream today as the AMGEN Tour of California launched its fourth stage of the 2014 race.

Teams left from Monterey's historic Alvarado Street and down the scenic Highway 1 through Big Sur on route to Cambria. Stage 5 launches tomorrow from Pismo Beach.
